Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Courage Bagels is easily one of the best bagel spots in LA! We ordered the Run It Thru the Garden sandwich with hand-sliced smoked salmon on a Burnt Everything bagel, as well as an Everything bagel. Both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot-on, the bagels had an excellent texture, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Itβs definitely worth a visit for any bagel lover! The only drawbacks are that the surrounding area feels a little rough, and parking can be a major challenge. Still, the food is absolutely worth the trip. Definitely one of the best bagel places in LA! π₯―π₯

First off, let me say that the bagels are good. However, like most hyped things in Los Angeles, you have to justify if the cost is worth the experience. And by cost, I don't just mean the exorbitant prices, but also the terrible parking situation, long lines, and rushed service. Seating is also limited so be prepared to wait for that or take your bagel to go. Oh and don't forget to ask for napkins, which are not included with the overpriced bagel. For me, I can't justify coming back to courage bagels. When a smoked salmon sandwich (basically a lox) costs more than a sushi roll ($21.50 plus tax) and has less fish, it better blow you away. Sadly, the sandwich felt underwhelming and I was still hungry. All the ingredients were fresh, but I can't justify spending 50% more than your average bagel shop for a marginal improvment in quality. Immediately afterwards I went to another bagel joint nearby and ordered a lox there to see if I was judging Courage too harshly. Guess what? There was no line and my bagel came out in half the time and was almost as good as Courage. The best part? The sandwich cost $14 plus tax.

Coming from Poland, I have to say this straight: no bagel back home even comes close to what theyβre doing here. They are absolutely insane with these bagelsβthis was the best breakfast Iβve had in my entire life! We ordered the classic salmon bagel and the Fresh Garden one. The bagel itself is an absolute masterpieceβperfectly thin, with an incredible, deep crunch on the outside, yet beautifully soft and moist on the inside. The depth of flavor, the perfect balance of seasonings, and the unbelievably fresh toppings are unmatched. The texture and structure of this dough completely blew me away. Eating here is a culinary experience on another level. We will 100% be back!

I just needed to say that these are the best bagels I've ever had, so nothing else matters. Absolutely delicious. My favorite one was the Cheddar-Tomato. It is incredible: simple, delicious. I regret not getting all the flavors tbh. The crisp on the bagel was surprising in a bagel. If I lived in LA I would visit them all the time.

This is one of the best bagels I've ever had; very fresh and tasty!! Crispy and chewy!! This is my regular stop when I'm driving out to LA, today, i had half of the smoked salmon on everything bagel and other half with sliced heirloom tomatoes!! Both equally delicious!! The other time, I had the mini Everything bagel with cream cheese ($3.50) and mexican hot cocoa with cinnamon & spices (they have 2 sizes; 4oz for $4 and 8oz for $8) w/whipped cream topping!! Line moved quick today!! I was very lucky to find street parking today nearby!! Highly recommended!! 5 πππππstars for delicious bagels and good service!! Come and try them out!! Wait under a shade!! Don't forget that they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays!!
